Asian Markets Fall Amid Ongoing US-Iran Tensions

Asian stock markets fell on Thursday following a decline on Wall Street as oil prices remained above $100 a barrel.

The price of Brent crude surged 3.4% on Wednesday, exceeding $100 a barrel for the first time since July.

U.S. benchmark crude dropped 0.6% to $95.52 a barrel after the latest attacks between the U.S. and Iran reduced oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz.

The conflict has nearly halted traffic in the Strait, where one-fifth of the world's oil supply passes.
