Astarta Sees 34% Surge in Product Sales Amid Ukraine Market Growth
Astarta, Ukraine's largest sugar producer and agro-industrial holding, reported significant growth in its product sales for the second quarter of this year. According to data published on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Astarta increased its product sales by 34.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 266,640 metric tons.
The company's revenue growth was more modest at 16.9%, with total revenues from main products amounting to 4.58 billion UAH in the second quarter of this year, compared to 3.91 billion UAH in the same period last year.
Astarta's sugar sales increased by 28% in volume terms during the second quarter, while the average selling price fell by 14.3%. The company also reported a decline in corn sales, with volumes falling by 19.1%, although prices rose by only 3.9%
