ASX 200 Expected to Rebound Despite Oil Price Decline
The ASX 200 Index closed down 0.75% on Friday to 8,772.3 points after a tough finish to the week.
Despite a mixed session on Wall Street, the Australian share market is expected to rebound on Monday, with SPI futures indicating the ASX 200 will open 48 points or 0.55% higher.
The decline in oil prices may impact energy shares Santos Ltd and Woodside Energy Group Ltd, which fell 3.1% and 3.9%, respectively, after US-Iran peace talk optimism led to a pullback in oil prices.
Australian Foundation Investment Co Ltd will release its full-year results before the market open on Monday, with investors watching for a fully franked 14.5 cents per share final dividend and a 2.5 cents per share special dividend.
