ASX Falls Amid Escalating Iran Conflict and Rising Oil Prices
Australia's share market continued its decline on Wednesday, with the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index falling by 18.2 points or 0.2% to 8,902.6.
The broader All Ordinaries dipped by 18.6 points or 0.23% to 9,093.2, following its worst session since early June the previous day.
The decline was attributed to rising oil prices, with Brent crude approaching $US100 a barrel for the first time since late July due to the ongoing US-Iran conflict.
Local energy stocks surged, however, led by Woodside and Santos, while BHP and Rio Tinto's rebounds helped boost the raw materials segment.
