ASX Set to Open Lower as Record High Gives Way to Caution
The Australian sharemarket is expected to open slightly lower on Thursday after hitting a record high on Wednesday.
Futures are pointing to a decline of 6 points, or 0.1%, for the S&P/ASX 200.
Copper prices have climbed to their highest level since mid-May, trading above US$14,000 a tonne in London.
Mining and technology stocks led the advance on Wednesday, while banks and energy companies weighed on the broader market.
