Atlantic Spot LNG Rates Surge to $20,000 per Day

LNG shipping rates on the Atlantic spot market have surged to $20,000 per day for the second consecutive week. According to Spark Commodities, this represents a week-over-week increase of $4,500. The sharp rise in prices reflects the strong demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) as global energy markets continue to adjust to changing supply and demand dynamics.

The jump in Atlantic spot LNG rates comes at a time when European countries are heavily reliant on imported LNG due to reduced domestic production. Asian spot LNG prices have also been impacted, with some reports suggesting that the region's imports may reach record levels this year.
