August Gas Prices Reach Record High as Crude Oil Costs Soar

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline has reached $4.10, up 4 cents from last Monday.

This August is on track to record the highest gas prices for the month, driven by high crude oil prices in the range of $85-$95 per barrel.

Despite a slight decrease in gasoline demand, which is typical for this time of year, the increased crude oil prices are pushing up national average gasoline prices.
