AXP Energy Powers Up Oklahoma Operations with Gas-to-Power System
AXP Energy Limited has announced the successful launch of its gas-to-power operations in Oklahoma. The company installed and commissioned a 320 kW natural gas-powered generator at its site, which achieved 99% uptime as of August 31, 2026.
The generator was set up alongside third-party data mining systems, allowing for the conversion of natural gas produced onsite into electricity. This scalable platform can be expanded as more gas becomes available, subject to operational and commercial factors.
AXP also conducted an initial oil flow test at the Charlie #1 well, which produced 11 barrels of oil per hour during a one-hour test while maintaining approximately 100 psi pressure at the wellhead and gas line. The company notes that this result is from a short-duration test and should not be considered indicative of sustained daily production rates.
A 10-day extended flow testing program will begin this week to optimize oil output while ensuring adequate gas supply for the genset and pump jack engine. The Edwards Lease, where these operations take place, is situated in Noble County, Oklahoma, with AXP holding a 100% Working Interest and an 81.25% Net Revenue Interest.
