Aya Doubles Boumadine Value with Morocco Gold-Silver Project Upgrade
Aya Gold & Silver has significantly improved the economic outlook for its Boumadine project in Morocco, boosting the after-tax net present value to $3.5 billion.
The updated preliminary economic assessment, released on Wednesday, shows that the gold-silver-zinc-lead project has a 93% internal rate of return and a 0.7-year payback period at current gold and silver prices.
Despite lower grades, Aya's Boumadine project is expected to produce 2.25 million oz of gold, 81.2 million oz of silver, 422,000 tonnes of zinc, and 195,000 tonnes of lead over a mine life of 14 years.
