Azerbaijan is set to increase its natural gas exports to Italy by 15% in the first six months of 2026 compared to the same period last year, according to a recent report.

The country's state-owned oil and gas company SOCAR reported that Azerbaijan will export around 3.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Italy during the mentioned period, up from 3.02 billion cubic meters in the first six months of 2025.

This development is seen as a positive trend for both Azerbaijan's energy sector and its economic growth prospects, with SOCAR's CEO noting that the increase in exports will help the company to meet growing demand and secure new markets.
