Azerbaijan Offers Gas Supply to Ukraine Amid Energy Crisis

Azerbaijan has expressed its readiness to supply gas to Ukraine if necessary. Speaking at a joint press conference with Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the importance of energy cooperation between the two countries.

Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan's state-owned company SOCAR has been present on the Ukrainian market for decades and continues to operate actively in Ukraine. He also mentioned that SOCAR has major plans for future energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, with a dynamic dialogue ongoing between capitals and colleagues regarding mutually beneficial additional areas of cooperation.

Azerbaijan currently supplies natural gas to 16 countries worldwide, including 12 European countries and 10 EU member states. Bayramov stated that his country is also ready to expand cooperation with Ukraine in this area, citing its existing supply of gas to several European nations.
