Azerbaijan Offers Gas Support to Ukraine Amid Energy Security Concerns
Azerbaijan has signaled its readiness to supply natural gas to Ukraine, highlighting the country's strategic role in Europe's energy security.
The announcement was made by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha in Kyiv.
Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan currently supplies natural gas to 12 European countries, including 10 EU member states. He emphasized the importance of energy cooperation between the two nations and expressed Azerbaijan's willingness to provide additional support if needed.
In particular, Bayramov mentioned the potential use of Ukraine's underground gas storage facilities as a promising area for future cooperation. According to him, this could contribute significantly to stronger regional energy security.
