Azerbaijan Oil Production Falls Short of OPEC Target

Azerbaijan's oil production levels have been scrutinized by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and according to their latest report, the country averaged 453,000 barrels per day in July.

This is a decrease of 4,000 barrels compared to June, but still leaves Azerbaijan below its target under the 'OPEC+' agreement. The agreement sets daily production quotas at 551,000 barrels for 2026, meaning Azerbaijan's actual output fell short by 98,000 barrels.

The latest figures mark a slight decline from earlier this year, when average daily crude oil production reached 454,000 barrels in the first quarter and 457,000 barrels in the second quarter. In comparison to last year, Azerbaijan's 2025 quarterly averages ranged from 458,000 to 466,000 barrels per day.
