Azerbaijan Sees Growth in Natural Gas Production Despite Crude Oil Decline
Azerbaijan's natural gas production rose by 1.1% year-on-year during January-July 2026, according to a report from the State Statistical Committee.
The country produced 29.57 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first seven months of the year, with commercial gas accounting for 22.78 billion cubic meters.
This marks an increase in production compared to January-July 2025, when Azerbaijan produced 23.2% less commercial gas and total production decreased by 3.1%. Despite the overall decrease in crude oil production, natural gas has shown a steady growth.
