Azerbaijan's Oil Output Trails OPEC+ Target
Azerbaijan's oil output in August fell short of OPEC+ targets by a significant margin, according to the International Energy Agency's (IEA) latest update.
The country produced 400,000 barrels of oil per day in August, which is 44,000 barrels less than its July output. The IEA analysts estimated that Azerbaijan's oil production was also 150,000 barrels below the level envisaged under the OPEC+ agreement.
Azerbaijan's oil production quota under the OPEC+ agreement stands at 551,000 barrels per day for this year. This latest development may have implications for the country's energy sector and its role in global oil markets.
