B2Gold Shares Soar 23% on Mali Permit Boost
B2Gold Corp., listed on the NYSE American under the ticker BTG, saw its shares surge 23.1% to $5.03 on Friday.
The jump came after Mali issued a permit that paves the way for the Fekola Regional project's growth prospects. The company now aims for yearly production exceeding 150,000 ounces starting from 2028.
Adjusted earnings per share stood at three cents, below the FactSet consensus estimate of seven cents. However, revenue increased due to a higher realized gold price, which rose 14.5% to $3,767 an ounce.
The company tightened its 2026 production guidance to 820,000-920,000 ounces, down from the earlier range of 820,000-970,000 ounces.
