B2Gold Shares Surge as Gold-Cost Gap Hits Record High
B2Gold Corp.'s shares rose 4.3% to $5.6401 on Thursday, following a bullion advance in U.S. gold futures that reached $4,522.50 an ounce at 15:27 EDT.
The gap between current futures and B2Gold's 2026 all-in sustaining cost (AISC) midpoint was about $2,063 per ounce, which is roughly $1.79 billion when applied to the midpoint output of 870,000 ounces.
While this spread is illustrative only and not a forecast profit, it does indicate that B2Gold's costs are currently lower than the market price of gold.
