Bab el-Mandeb Shipping Rises Amid Hopes of US-Iran Conflict Resolution
The number of vessels passing through Bab el-Mandeb rose to 28 on Monday, marking a four-day high.
Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, however, remained low with six commodity-carrying vessels transiting the waterway.
According to Kpler shipping data, out of 12 vessels that entered the Red Sea on Monday, four were oil tankers. One was a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC), two were Suezmax tankers, and the fourth was an Aframax tanker.
U.S. President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran are progressing, but warned that military action could restart if talks collapse.
