Baghdad and Erbil Gold Prices Climb to New Heights
Gold prices in Baghdad and Erbil markets continued their upward trend on Saturday, August 8. The Shafaq News Agency reported that gold prices hovered around 930,000 IQD per mithqal in both cities.
In Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street market, the selling price of 21-carat gold was recorded at 937,000 IQD per mithqal, while the buying price was 933,000 IQD. The same gold had sold for 920,000 IQD on Thursday.
The prices for 21-carat Iraqi gold were slightly lower, with a selling price of 907,000 IQD and a buying price of 903,000 IQD.
In jewelry stores, the selling price per mithqal of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 940,000 and 950,000 IQD. Meanwhile, Iraqi gold was sold for between 910,000 and 920,000 IQD.
