BAJUS Cuts Gold Price by Tk 4374 per Bhori
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the rate of gold in the domestic markets, effective from September 2. The decision was made at a meeting of BAJUS's Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee.
According to the revised rates, 22-carat gold will now cost Tk 231,880 per bhori (11.664 grams), down from Tk 236,254 previously. This represents a decrease of Tk 4,374 per bhori, including VAT.
The prices for other categories have also been adjusted. The new rate for 21-carat gold is Tk 221,441 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will cost Tk 190,123 per bhori. Gold under the traditional system has been priced at Tk 155,306 per bhori.
BAJUS has also reduced silver prices across all categories. The new rate for 22-carat silver is Tk 5,016 per bhori, while 21-carat silver will cost Tk 4,782, 18-carat silver Tk 4,082 and traditional silver Tk 3,091 per bhori.
