BAJUS Cuts Gold Price in Bangladesh by Tk 3,324 Per Bhori
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of gold in the local market by Tk 3,324 per bhori (11.664 grams).
This decrease affects 22-carat gold jewelry, which is now priced at Tk 220,858 per bhori, including VAT.
The new rates took effect on July 24 at 10:00 am and were announced by the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring in a notice signed by its chairman, Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen.
The price reduction follows two previous increases of Tk 2,741 per bhori on July 22 and Tk 1,633 per bhori on July 21. The combined increase was Tk 4,374 per bhori before the latest decrease.
