BAJUS Raises Gold Prices by Tk.2,500 Per Bhori
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced an increase in gold prices, citing a rise in the price of pure gold in the local market. The new rates are effective from 10:00am on Saturday morning.
The association stated that 22-carat gold now costs Tk.2,36,779 per bhori with VAT included. BAJUS has also updated prices for other categories of gold to reflect current market conditions.
Making charges will still vary depending on the design of the ornament, but shops cannot charge VAT separately from customers, as it is already included in the sale price of gold and silver ornaments.
