The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (Bajus) has raised gold prices in the local market, increasing the rate of 22-carat gold to Tk2,46,110 per bhori. This is the latest revision by Bajus, which has adjusted gold prices 106 times so far in 2026.

The new rates for other types of gold are: 21-carat at Tk2,35,030 per bhori (11.664 grams), and traditional gold at Tk1,64,812 per bhori. The price increase is inclusive of VAT, which cannot be charged separately by jewellers to customers.

The association also raised silver prices alongside gold, increasing the rate of 22-carat silver by Tk 175 to Tk5,482 per bhori. Other types of silver now cost: 21-carat at Tk5,249 per bhori, 18-carat at Tk4,491 per bhori, and traditional silver at Tk3,383 per bhori.

Bajus has announced that the new rates will remain effective until further notice, although making charges for ornaments may vary depending on design. The association's existing rules for ornament exchange and purchase remain unchanged.
