Baker Hughes Lands Liquefaction Tech Order for Venture Global's CP2 LNG Expansion
Baker Hughes has been selected to supply modularised liquefied natural gas (LNG) systems to support the expansion of Venture Global's CP2 LNG facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.
The award is part of an expanded master equipment supply agreement signed between the companies in September 2023. Under this deal, Baker Hughes will provide 12 mixed-refrigerant (SMR) liquefaction modules to form a total of six liquefaction blocks for the project.
Each block will consist of two liquefaction modules, compression trains with advanced centrifugal compressor technology, as well as cold boxes, air coolers, and integrated control systems. The CP2 LNG facility has a planned capacity of 29 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).
Venture Global reached the final investment decision (FID) on the second phase of its CP2 LNG project in March this year.
