Bangladesh Gas Supply Nears Pre-Disruption Levels Amid LNG Injection Boost
Bangladesh's gas supply situation has improved significantly in recent days after weeks of disruption.
The country's total gas supply rose above 2,600 million cubic feet (mmcf) on Tuesday, with higher liquefied natural gas (LNG) injection easing pressure on the national gas network.
According to Petrobangla data, the total gas supply reached 2,610 mmcf at noon on Tuesday, comprising 1,620 mmcf from domestic gas fields and 990 mmcf of imported LNG, or re-gasified LNG (RLNG).
The disruption in gas supply was caused by an incident involving the Excelerate-operated Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) at Moheshkhali.
