Bangladesh Gas Supply Reaches Record High
The government of Bangladesh has successfully increased gas supply to the national grid, reaching 2,606 million cubic feet (mmcfd) per day. This achievement is attributed to the government's prompt initiative and efforts by Petrobangla to maintain a stable energy supply.
Petrobangla Director (Operation and Mines, Additional Charge) Engineer Md. Shoyeb stated that 1,615 mmcfd of gas comes from domestic sources, while 991 mmcfd comes from floating regasification units installed in the sea.
The corporation has been working to coordinate domestic production with imported Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to increase supply to the national grid. This improvement in gas availability is a positive development compared to previous days.
