Bangladesh Gold Price Hits New High with 22K Rate Climbing to Tk 223,074
The Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (Bajus) has increased the price of gold by Tk 2,216 per bhori in Bangladesh. This new rate takes effect from 10 am on July 27, 2026, and sets the price of 22-karat gold at Tk 223,074 per bhori, including VAT.
This is the 95th revision of gold prices in the country so far in 2026. According to Bajus, gold prices have increased on 46 occasions and decreased 48 times this year, with only one adjustment made over VAT. The price of traditional gold ornaments has also been raised by Tk 1,458 to Tk 149,474 per bhori.
The price of silver was revised upward alongside gold. The price of 22-karat silver ornaments was raised by Tk 59 to Tk 4,666 per bhori, including VAT. Silver prices for other karat levels also increased: 21-karat silver went up by Tk 175 to Tk 4,549, 18-karat silver rose by Tk 116 to Tk 3,907, and traditional silver ornaments increased by Tk 116 to Tk 2,974 per bhori.
