Bangladesh Gold Prices Hit Record High at Tk232,930
Gold prices in Bangladesh have reached a record high after the rate of high-quality 22-carat gold rose by Tk9,856 per bhori to Tk232,930. The new rates were announced by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS), effective from Thursday at 10:00 am.
The increase comes less than a week after BAJUS raised the rate of 22-carat gold by Tk2,216 per bhori on July 31. According to local market dynamics, prices were adjusted accordingly.
21-carat gold has also increased in price, retailing at Tk222,491 per bhori, while 18-carat gold now costs Tk191,056 per bhori. The price of gold refined through traditional methods rose by Tk6,590 to stand at Tk156,064 per bhori.
