Bangladesh Gold Prices Jump Again Amid Market Shifts
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced an increase in gold prices in the domestic market. According to the new rates, one bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold will cost Tk246,110, including VAT.
This represents a rise of Tk5,482 per bhori from the previous price. The revised prices also affect other types of gold, with 21-carat gold priced at Tk235,030 per bhori and 18-carat gold at Tk201,846 per bhori. Traditional gold sold under a separate system will cost Tk164,812 per bhori.
The BAJUS cited the overall market situation as the reason for revising the prices, specifically mentioning the increase in refined gold prices in the local market.
