Bangladesh Gold Prices Plummet as BAJUS Announces Reduction
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced a price reduction for gold in the local bullion market on Friday, September 11, 2026. The new prices will take effect immediately, according to the announcement.
The highest quality 22-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by Tk 2,158 (from Tk 2,34,038 to Tk 2,31,880), while 21-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by Tk 2,099 (from Tk 2,23,540 to Tk 2,21,441).
The prices of 18-carat gold and traditional (Sonaton) gold have also been reduced by Tk 1,808 (from Tk 1,91,931 to Tk 1,90,123) and Tk 1,516 (from Tk 1,56,822 to Tk 1,55,306), respectively.
