Bangladesh Gold Prices Plummet by Tk 3,324 per Bhori
Gold prices in Bangladesh have dropped sharply after two consecutive hikes. The price of 22-carat gold has been reduced by Tk 3,324 per bhori, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS). This change took effect at 10:00 am on Friday.
The revised prices for different types of gold are as follows:
22-carat gold is now priced at Tk 220,858 per bhori (11.664 grams), down from Tk 224,182. The association attributed this change to a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market.
The new rates will remain effective until further notice and include VAT. Labour charges for jewellery designs will still vary, but customers do not have to pay VAT separately as it is already included in the retail price.
