Bangladesh Gold Prices Plummet for Second Day in a Row

Gold prices in Bangladesh have plummeted for the second day in a row. The Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) announced on Tuesday that it has reduced the price of 22-carat gold by BDT 2,216 per bhori (11.664 grams). This comes just a day after the association increased prices by similar amounts.

The new prices, effective immediately, set the price of 22-carat gold at BDT 2,20,858 per bhori, including VAT. The price of 21-carat gold has been reduced by BDT 2,100 to BDT 2,10,943 per bhori.

The price adjustments are part of a larger trend in the domestic market, with prices adjusted 96 times so far this year. Of these, prices were increased 46 times and decreased 49 times.
