Bangladesh Gold Prices Plummet with BAJUS-Announced Reductions

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced a reduction in gold prices in the local bullion market on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The new prices will take effect starting from that day. According to the announcement, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 6,216 taka, from the previous price of 2,37,362 taka to the new price of 2,31,146 taka.

The prices for other types of gold have also been reduced: 21-carat gold per bhori is now BDT 2,24,590, down by 2,100 taka from the previous price; 18-carat gold per bhori is BDT 1,92,864, a reduction of 1,750 taka; and traditional (Sonaton) gold per bhori is BDT 1,57,522, down by 1,458 taka.

These reductions are reflected in the live chart for today, September 7, 2026. The prices for different weights of gold are also provided, including 1 ana, 2 ana, and up to 16 ana.
