Bangladesh Gold Prices Soar Again Amid Global Market Surge
Gold prices in Bangladesh have increased again after a previous drop, with 22-carat gold now costing Tk234,038 per bhori. The price hike comes as the global market saw a significant jump in gold prices, with pure gold increasing by over $100 per ounce.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) made the decision to raise prices after its Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring held a meeting. The new prices took effect at 10 am on Saturday.
Gold prices had fallen by up to Tk3,226 per bhori on Friday, but have now rebounded with this latest increase. Silver prices also rose in the domestic market, with 22-carat silver costing Tk4,899 per bhori and 21-carat silver priced at Tk4,666.
