Bangladesh Gold Prices Soar Again as BAJUS Announces Latest Revision
Gold prices in Bangladesh have increased once again within a single day, according to the latest revision by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS). The price of 22-carat gold has been hiked by BDT 4,374 per bhori, setting the new price at BDT 2,34,038. This is the 100th adjustment in gold prices this year, with 50 price hikes and 50 reductions.
The revised rates came into effect from 10:00 AM on Saturday (August 8). The updated price list includes VAT and lists the following rates per bhori:
22-carat gold: BDT 2,34,038
21-carat gold: BDT 223,541
18-carat gold: BDT 191,931
Traditional method gold: BDT 156,823
Silver prices, on the other hand, have remained unchanged despite the surge in gold prices. The price of 22-carat silver is still BDT 4,899 per bhori.
