The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced a reduction in gold prices across various categories, including 22-karat, 21-karat, and traditional gold. The price of 22-karat gold has been lowered by Tk 3,324 per bhori to Tk 220,858 per bhori.

This decision comes after two consecutive price hikes, with the most recent increase being on July 22. The new prices took effect from 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning and will remain in place until further notice.

The association attributed the price adjustment to a decline in the local market price of pure gold (acid-tested gold). Additionally, BAJUS reduced silver prices, with the price of 22-karat silver decreasing by Tk 175 per bhori to Tk 4,607.
