Bangladesh LPG Prices Rise Amid Global Gas Shortages
The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Bangladesh has risen due to a global shortage of piped natural gas.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced a new price adjustment, which raises the cost by Tk 5.85 per kilogram.
This means that a 12kg LPG cylinder now costs Tk 1,598, up from Tk 1,528.
Global LPG prices surged after the Middle East war escalated, and in April, Bangladesh saw its largest-ever increase in LPG prices, with a 12kg cylinder rising by Tk 387.
