Bangladesh Ramps Up LNG Terminal Plans Amid Acute Gas Crisis
The government of Bangladesh is accelerating plans to build a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at Maheshkhali amid an acute gas crisis in the country.
The move aims to increase the availability of gas for power generation and industrial use, which has been severely impacted by the current shortage.
The LNG terminal is expected to be operational within two years, with a capacity to handle 10 million cubic meters of gas per day.
