Bangladesh Secures 117 LNG Cargoes from Gunvor USA LLC
The Bangladesh government has approved a long-term agreement to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) from US-based Gunvor USA LLC. The deal, which will run until 2038, involves the supply of 117 LNG cargoes between 2026 and 2038.
Under the agreement, Gunvor will initially supply 14 LNG cargoes in 2026-28 at a price set at the Japan-Korea Marker (JKM) plus $0.0875 per MMBtu. For the remaining years, the company will provide 10 LNG cargoes annually from 2029 to 2038.
The approved proposal also includes the import of six additional LNG cargoes from Hong Kong, UK, and Oman. These shipments will be priced at varying rates, including JKM plus $0.54 per MMBtu for two cargoes from Oman's Maxwell International SPC.
