Bangladesh's Gas Crisis Eases as RLNG Supply Increases

A severe gas crisis in Bangladesh has started to ease as the supply of regasified LNG (RLNG) from the Moheshkhali LNG terminal increased.

The shortage was caused by a technical fault at the floating terminal, reducing LNG supply and hitting the country's gas demand.

According to officials, the gas pressure is returning to near-normal levels in various parts of the capital, but households in some areas are still facing a gas supply crunch.

CNG-driven cars and CNG-run autorickshaw drivers are experiencing improved conditions, with moderate queues at petrol pumps and CNG-gas stations compared to last week's long queues.
