Black Sea Canola Exports Plummet Amid Drone Attacks

The Black Sea canola exports have seen a significant drop due to ongoing attacks on port infrastructure and ocean vessels in the region.

According to Western Producer grain market analyst Bruce Burnett, 'The commodity markets are just now responding to this,'

as drone attacks force Russia to ship through more 'arduous' alternative routes such as the Caspian Sea and Baltic Sea. Ukraine is having to rail product into the European Union or use its ports located on the Danube River.

However, that solution is far from ideal as Russia targets ports on the Danube, water levels are at a record low, and Reuters reports up to 70 vessels were lined up near Danube's Sulina Canal waiting for access to Ukrainian ports to load grain for export.
