Black Sea Disruptions and Weather Concerns Fuel Global Grain Market Rally
Global grain markets have been strengthening due to disruptions in the Black Sea region and concerns over weather conditions. Escalating attacks on ports and export infrastructure, combined with higher freight costs, have restricted grain flows.
As a result, importers are seeking alternative supplies, supporting prices. Dry conditions across western Europe, Canada, and parts of the United States have also increased concerns over crop yields, contributing to wheat futures reaching multi-week highs.
The UK and European harvest results have been mixed, with disappointing yields offset by good milling quality. However, expectations of tighter feed wheat supplies are supporting domestic prices despite steady farmer selling.
