Ryan Blaney secured pole position for the NASCAR Cup Series Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol at the Iowa Speedway on August 8, beating Kyle Larson's time by 0.018 seconds.

Blaney, driving for Team Penske, recorded a lap time of 23.474 seconds, while Larson finished second with a 23.492-second lap.

Others in the top five included Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, and Tyler Reddick.

Shane van Gisbergen, competing for Trackhouse Racing, qualified 23rd with a 23.682-second lap, while his teammate Connor Zilisch finished eighth as the fastest rookie.
