BNDES Loans $150 Million to Cerradinho Group for Biofuel Expansion
The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has approved two credit operations totaling R$150 million for Cerradinho Group. The funds will be used to modernize and expand biofuel production at facilities in Chapadão do Céu, Goiás, and Maracaju, Mato Grosso do Sul.
The first operation is a R$50 million loan under the BNDES Mais Inovação program, directed to Neomille, the group's corn ethanol and co-products subsidiary. The funds will be used to purchase machinery, equipment, and technological services.
The second operation, worth R$100 million, is intended for the acquisition of capital goods, including industrial and agricultural equipment. Neomille and CerradinhoBio will use the resources under the same innovation program.
