Bonatti Lands $1.2B Pipeline Contract in Argentina
Bonatti has entered the Argentine market through a joint venture with Pumpco and Contreras Hermanos, securing a $1.2 billion contract to build two pipelines for the transport of gas and liquids under the Argentina LNG project.
The project involves Eni, Argentina's YPF, and XRG from the UAE, aiming to exploit the Vaca Muerta offshore gas field with an expected LNG export capacity of up to 12 million metric tonnes per annum by 2030, potentially increasing to 18 Mtpa.
The pipelines will be approximately 527 kilometres long and link Meseta Buena Esperanza in the Vaca Muerta basin to Sierra Grande on Argentina's Atlantic coast. The Italian share amounts to $480 million (approximately €421 million at current exchange rates).
