Bowdens Silver Revamps Project in Australia Amid Regulatory Uncertainty
Bowdens Silver's presentation at Noosa Mining Conference 2026 highlighted a revised and more resilient project in New South Wales, Australia. The company's next step still depends on obtaining permits from the New South Wales government.
Management noted that the new feasibility study and reserve update have strengthened the case for the asset. However, the regulatory process has already caused a two-year delay, which is reflected in the stock price trading at $0.09 with a market capitalization of $203 million.
The company declared a reserve of 93.8 million ounces of silver, supporting a 26-year mine life. The new definitive feasibility study uses a $45 an ounce silver price, while the mine design is based on $35 an ounce, showing a wide margin of safety.
Bowdens Silver expects to tell the market before year-end that the permitting process is back on track, with development consent from the New South Wales government being the next step. The company has invested AUD 100 million in advancing the project and holds 3,900 hectares of farmland for water rights and infrastructure development.
