Bozhong 19-6 Gas Field Enters Full Production in Eastern China
China's Bozhong 19-6 gas field has reached full production in its first phase, exceeding daily output of 5,200 tonnes. Located in the Bohai Sea, this is China's largest offshore gas field in eastern China, with proven geological reserves of over 200 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 200 million cubic meters of oil liquids.
The project has been challenging due to its depth - over 5,000 meters - and complex reservoirs. However, it will play a crucial role in meeting the energy needs of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Bohai rim area during peak summer demand.
Drilling operations for the second phase have begun, aiming to further increase the field's production capacity.
