Brazil Aims for Record Agricultural Output in 2025/26 Season

Brazil is on track to harvest its largest ever soybean and corn crops in the 2025/26 season, according to Conab. The country's total agricultural production is forecast at a record 361.7 million tons, up 2.6% from last year. Soybean production is expected to reach 180.4 million tons, a 5.2% increase from the previous season.

The planted area for soybeans expanded by 2.7%, while yields increased by 2.5%. This has led to a record soybean export forecast of 116.2 million tons. Corn production is estimated at 144 million tons, up 2% from the previous season.

However, wheat production in Brazil could decline by 27% to 5.74 million tons due to a 21% reduction in planted area and a 7.5% decrease in average yields. Rice production is also expected to fall by 13% to 11.08 million tons due to a 14% reduction in planted area.
