Brazil LNG Terminal Market Fragmentation Accelerates Amid Supply and Demand Shifts
BNamericas reported that the LNG terminal market in Brazil is becoming increasingly fragmented. This shift is attributed to various factors, including changes in natural gas supply and demand.
The midstream company Petrobras has been impacted by these developments, with a significant increase in regasification volumes at its Pecém Terminal. The facility's capacity was expanded last year from 4.2 million tons per annum to 6.8 million tons per annum.
However, the growth of other terminals, such as those operated by the company Enel, is also contributing to market fragmentation. Enel's terminal in São Paulo has seen a notable increase in regasification volumes in recent months.
