Brazilian Corn Exports Plunge 32% in August Amid Global Price Support
Brazil's corn exports experienced a significant decline in August, according to UkrAgroConsult. The country shipped 4.66 million tons of corn last month, down 32% from the same period in 2025. This represents a decrease in physical shipments for the second consecutive month.
The average daily corn exports in August totaled 221.7 thousand tons, also down 32% year-over-year. However, the value of exports declined to $1.01 billion from $1.36 billion in August 2025.
Despite the decline in physical shipments, the average export price of Brazilian corn increased by 9.8% year-over-year to $217.4 per ton. This is a supportive factor for global prices, as Brazil is one of the world's largest corn exporters.
